Billiard Fan For Life!
Pool has been part of our family for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, I could spend hours perched on a stool, watching friendly competition unfold. The atmosphere, the strategy, the physics of the game, left a lasting impression. What began as a fascination with the sport eventually grew into a passion for tournament management and the technology that supports it. Today, that passion lives on through Budtour and IngenPool, where our goal is to help organizers run professional caliber events and giving players the experience they deserve.
The Perfect Billiard Room
As my passion for the game grew, so did the importance of having a proper place to play. When searching for a home in Ontario, one requirement stood above the rest: enough space for a full-size 9-foot table. Eventually, the perfect country home appeared, complete with a spacious 20 × 24 billiard room. It wasn't long before a Canada Billiard Black Crown tournament table found its permanent home there, creating the ideal setting for countless matches, gatherings, and late-night conversations around the game we love.
The Birth of IngenPool
I was always looking for friendly competition and opportunities to meet other billiard enthusiasts. I played in many leagues and constantly searched for tournaments within driving distance. Unfortunately, organized events were often scarce because the amount of work involved in producing tournaments was overwhelming. As a programmer-analyst, I decided to tackle the problem by designing tournament management software specifically for pool and billiard events. My goal was simple: make tournament management easier so more events could take place, resulting in more competition at local pool halls and more opportunities for players to enjoy this fascinating game.
